Exercise Stress Test Program - Nakornthon Hospital
Package Details
An Exercise Stress Test (EST), also known as a treadmill test, is an electrocardiogram (ECG) performed while walking on a treadmill or cycling. This method is commonly used to detect cardiovascular abnormalities that are not detected while the body is at rest or not exercising strenuously. This is because exercise requires the heart to use more oxygen from the blood.
Test Procedure
- Begin walking slowly on a moving treadmill.
- Begin running, as the treadmill increases in speed.
- It takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Once sufficient data is collected for diagnosis, you can stop running.
Preparation for Service
- Get adequate sleep, approximately 6-8 hours.
- Eat approximately one hour before the test.
- Avoid caffeinated beverages and smoking for four hours before the test.
- Avoid strenuous activities, such as exercise, prior to the test.
- If you are taking medications or supplements that affect your heart rate, inform your doctor before receiving the service.
Package Information
An Exercise Stress Test (EST) is a heart screening test that measures your heart rate using various exercises. It is used for treadmill running. Heart rate data is tracked via a transmitter located on the side of the machine or attached to the chest. The heart rate is also controlled by adjusting the treadmill's difficulty to determine the exercise range.
