Package Details

1. Upper Abdomen Ultrasound

This examines the liver, pancreas, spleen, gallbladder, bile ducts, and kidneys for abnormalities or any abnormal masses. Preparation procedures for upper and lower abdominal examinations differ.

Preparation

Avoid fatty foods and beverages for approximately 4-6 hours before the examination. However, you may drink water. Eating before the examination can cause the gallbladder to contract, resulting in a less visible gallbladder.

2. Lower Abdomen Ultrasound

This examines the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, prostate, bladder, appendix, and other lower abdominal organs for abnormalities such as ovarian cysts, uterine tumors, or appendicitis.

Preparation

You may drink water, but you must hold your urine. A full bladder displaces the intestines, allowing the uterus, ovaries, prostate, or bladder stones to be clearly seen.

Preparation Before Service - Health Examination Recommendations

Abstain from alcohol for 24 hours.
Get adequate sleep, at least 6-8 hours.
(If applicable) Bring any other medical history results.
(If applicable) Information about any underlying medical conditions should be provided prior to service.
Pregnant women or those suspected of being pregnant should inform the staff prior to the examination.
Women with a menstrual period should refrain from urine tests and cervical cancer screenings. The examination should be performed at least 7 days after the end of their period.
