RT-PCR or Real-time RT PCR testing
It is a test for the genetic material of the virus using Real-time RT PCR, a method recommended by the World Health Organization. This method of testing has the advantages of being sensitive and highly specific. Results can be known within 24 hours and can detect small amounts of the virus.
